What does the free consultation involve and how long does it take?

The consultation will last around 50 minutes and is booked at a convenient time for you. You get the opportunity to meet our Personal Trainers, to discuss your targets, your current and previous fitness levels, any previous or on-going health issues and your lifestyle.

After the consultation we will create a personalized training programme which fits around your commitments. This individual programme will allow you to hit your targets in the quickest possible time.

What happens after my consultation?

After your consultation, we have a meeting between our personal trainers about you. We decide if we think you are serious about wanting to make a change in your life and if we think we can help you. Assuming we can help, then we decide on the best approach and come up with your personalised training plan, nutritional plan, and goals as a team.

Do you carry out health assessments?

As part of your first session we will conduct a series of health assessments in order to record a baseline of your current fitness levels. We will check your blood pressure, your BMI (Body Mass Index), your body fat %, Visceral fat, Lean Body Mass, your cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, resting metabolic rates, resting heart rate, and anthropometric measurements.

The results will be recorded and repeated in order to track your progress throughout the duration of your training.

Yes – We would always encourage our clients to take block bookings, this saves you money but more importantly shows your long term commitment to achieving your personal goals. Our preference is for clients to book training blocks of either 4, 8 or 12 weeks, and dependent on your training needs and budget we can work together to determine the numbers of sessions per week.

How often should I train?

This really depends on your goals, your own motivation levels, other commitments and your budget. As part of your initial free consultation we will talk through and agree a number of sessions per week which is realistic and achievable. Most of our clients prefer 3 times per week with at least a day break between the 3 sessions.

Our group has different levels of fitness, can we still train together?

Yes, In our initial consultation we will discuss the group’s current fitness levels and goals. The sessions put together for each group will be personalized and take into account everyone’s individual needs, tailoring exercises and if necessary providing differing versions for each person.

Are you suitably qualified?

Most definitely – Our personal trainers have Masters or Degrees in Sport and Exercise Science and/or are qualified by the International Sports Science Association. Aside from this, they also possess other qualifications from the British Weight Lifting Association, muay Thai institution, numerous sports coaching qualifications, countless outdoor activity qualifications , and are all first aid qualified.

What if I need to cancel a session?

For Session Packages – As long as you let us know 24 hours in advance, we’ll find another day or time that suits you.

For Monthly Packages you have set time slots every week and it is your job to make sure you can make these slots. If something comes up and you let us know 24 hours in advance, we’ll do our best to accomodate but sometimes this is not possible so we’ll ask you to come in for a group session if you’d like so as not to miss out on training.

What happens on public holidays?

Just like other businesses, we are also closed on public holidays but for anyone that has missed a session, we will put a group session on during the following week (in line with your goals) that you are welcome to attend.
